This work looks like a nostalgic still life that bears traces of the industrial age. The painter reflects the hardness of rusty metal racing against time with a dark and textured background, while highlighting the old shower valve in the center with dramatic light, giving it an almost sculptural appearance. The monochrome color palette used in the painting makes the viewer feel a frozen moment in time, the silence of an almost forgotten space.
