CANCELLATION & RETURN POLICY

1. GENERAL INFORMATION
OpenTheArt is an online marketplace that connects artists directly with collectors and buyers. Each artwork listed on opentheart.com is original and created by individual artists. Shipping and responsibility for the artwork lie entirely with the artist.
2. ORDER CANCELLATION
You may cancel your order before the artwork has been shipped. To request a cancellation, please email us at info@opentheart.com with your order number. If the order has already been shipped, the cancellation will be processed as a return (see Section 3).
3. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL & RETURNS
In accordance with consumer protection regulations, buyers have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of delivery, without providing any justification. To be eligible for a return, the artwork must be:

Unused and undamaged

In its original packaging

Accompanied by the original invoice and any certificates provided by the artist
4. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
The right of withdrawal does not apply to the following:

Custom-made artworks (e.g., commissioned portraits, personalized items, signed prints)

Artworks resized or customized at the buyer’s request

Fragile or one-of-a-kind original artworks returned with damage

Digital products (e.g., downloadable illustration files)
5. RETURN PROCESS
Once you notify us of your intent to withdraw, the item must be returned within 10 days via our partnered courier. Once the artwork is received by the artist, a refund will be processed to your original payment method within 14 days. Shipping costs are only covered by the seller if the item was defective or incorrectly delivered. In all other cases, return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
6. DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS
If the package is visibly damaged upon delivery, please ask the courier to document the damage in a report. If the item is defective, incorrect, or incomplete, contact us at info@opentheart.com within 3 days of delivery. Once the issue is verified, we will begin a return or exchange process.
